Back to Base

Hey, I'm still alive, but only just. This is getting really tough. Somebody must be holding HG back, because ever since his big global broadcast, his take over has been rather slow. He's got Britain, but everything he's been setting up is taking ages, and he hasn't expanded to other countries yet. Whoever you are, thank you.
I made it to the old VHS base today. It looked do sad, so dark and empty. The windows were caked in dust, and the shop door was hanging limply on one hinge. As I approached, I tripped a sensor, and the metal security door slammed down, knocked the shop door to the ground. Ragnarok had shown us the security for if nobody was there, so I swung the opening hours sign away from the wall and accessed the security panel. It verified my identity, and the slab of metal rose about a foot, before sparking and stopping.
Crawling in, I looked round at the familiar room. One of Diffy's pictures was stuck to the wall, and Precog's Cricket Bat was lying on the floor near the counter.
Seeing the computer in the corner, I got up and ran over. It was slow, the whole base was relying on Tempest's back up generator since HG gained control of the power grid. I was trying to gain access, like Tempest told me, when a blue pixel appeared in the centre of the screen.
'Ah, at last!'
The pixel vanished, and computers and screens unfolded from the wall, descended from the ceiling, and sliding up from the floor.
I stared as VHS's main control hub grew in front of me. On the big central screen, a blue face slowly appeared. She beamed at me.
'Glutton. Thank you for coming. We need your help.'

I'll post this now, apparently we don't have long.
